A Letter of Hope

Relax. Breathe in and out deeply. Drink a glass of water. Stop and listen. Listen to the beating of your heart. You hear that? That’s purpose. Your life is so much more than what you currently see, Love.

I know you are hurting right now. Your tears, they flood your face. You can hear your heart beating, yet you wonder why. It’s been months since you’ve coped with deepest of regrets.

A freeze. A pause. A fleeting moment to escape your pain. I understand.

The words. They fall unto the paper like dust. They collect slowly. You are broken here. Shattered into pieces like shards of glass drenched in blood.

You are not alone here. There are people in your life who genuinely care about you.

You are going to be okay. You will make it through these nights. Hope is closer than you know.

Your cries for help are heard. There are people in your life who want to comfort you.

You don’t have to pretend that everything is all perfect. You do not have to be strong for anyone. Take care of yourself, dear.

It’s okay not to be okay. You’re not the only person who feels this way.  You are making progress. You will see better days ahead.

Now is the not the time to give in to your pain. You are a fighter. You are amazing. You’ve pushed through hell before, and you’ve come out alive and stronger than ever. You can do this. You will get through this. You are a warrior.

Relax. Breathe in and out deeply. Drink a glass of water. Stop and listen. Listen to the beating of your heart. You hear that? That’s purpose. Your life is so much more than what you currently see, Love.

You’d never believed before that you could make it this far, but look at you go, kid. You’re making huge progress. Don’t give up. You’re gonna be okay.

I’m proud of you. You’re doing so well.

I’ll see you on the other side, where the light shines beyond the night.
